MURA ENDOWMENT FUND
In May 2007, MURA and McMaster University signed an agreement to establish an Awards Endowment Fund which will provide on going funding for the two awards in Gerontology currently supported by the Association.
The original goal of $32,000 was met by the fall of 2009, with the total reaching $40,000 by summer 2010.   Donations from MURA members and friends are welcome and encouraged on a continuing basis.   Extra funding will enable MURA to increase the value of our annual scholarship to one full-time Gerontology student and prize to one part-time Gerontology student.
Contributions to the Fund are tax deductible.
Send your donations, payable to McMaster University, noting "MURA Awards"
in the MEMO space on the cheque.

M.U.R.A. Donates a Transport Wheelchair to Campus Health Services
Transport Wheel Chair
Many years ago, M.U.R.A. donated a transport wheelchair to  Student Health Services, now known as the  Campus Health Centre.  Recently ithe wheelchair broke and for a very modest cost  M.U.R.A replaced it with a new one!

TO  M.U.R.A.--- a  THANK YOU NOTE!
On behalf of the Campus Health Centre, I would like to thank the McMaster University Retirees Association for the gift of a wheelchair.  The chair is comfortable to sit in and incredible easy to manoeuver.  We love it.
....
Again, thank you very much for the gift and your interest in helping students and staff.
