CURAC (the College and University Retiree Associations of Canada) is holding its annual conference at the University of Guelph May 22 - 24, 2019.
As the conference is being held locally, it is a great opportunity to meet with retiree association members from across the country and hear speakers on topics relevant to retirees.
Highlights of the program include Prof. Emma Allen-Vercoe, a U of G microbiologist who is world-renowned for her research on the microbial world inside the human gut, and Prof. Evan Fraser, director of the Arrell Food Institute, talking about its efforts to "connect food research and expertise across all fields of study with Canadian and global partners to support sustainability, economic growth, and security in the food supply chain from fork to field".
