Library services
- McMaster retirees are entitled to a variety of library services
McMaster meal plan
- save 10% on all on-campus food purchases through Hospitality Services
- a declining cash balance system that works on the same principal as a bank debit card; each time you make a purchase, the total cost is subtracted from the dollar balance in your account
- the meal account is programmed to your McMaster photo ID card
- access your account information and transaction history online with a secure, personalized system

McMaster photo ID card
Retirees who do not have a Photo ID are encouraged to replace their blue ID cards with the photo ID card that facilitates the following services:
-
- access control (controlled access to various buildings/labs/stairwells)
- entry into controlled-access staff lounges on campus*
- meal plan (activated in Commons Building 128)
- Library borrowing
- use of athletic facilities such as the Pulse (Gym)
Employee Photo ID cards are issued at the Gilmour Hall Campus Store Parking Kiosk. Hours are Monday to Thursday 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 5 pm and Fridays 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 4 pm. Please bring the following documents with you:

- the old blue card
- your employee number
- government issued photo ID (e.g. health card, driver's license)
*If your existing retiree photo ID card does not work for accessing staff lounges, bring your card to the Parking Kiosk in the Campus Store, or send an email request to axiomrep@mcmaster.ca including the name on your card and the number printed on the back of your card.

- McMaster retirees are eligible for membership at a reduced rate

- Retirees may choose to be included in the online McMaster Faculty & Staff Directory. Here's how to add yourself to the directory, or to update your record as needed

Tuition assistance & bursary program
- Retirees are eligible for tuition assistance for McMaster courses only
- Tuition bursaries are available for the eligible dependents of eligible retirees
