McMaster meal plan

  • save 10% on all on-campus food purchases through Hospitality Services
  • a declining cash balance system that works on the same principal as a bank debit card; each time you make a purchase, the total cost is subtracted from the dollar balance in your account
  • the meal account is programmed to your McMaster photo ID card
  • access your account information and transaction history online with a secure, personalized system

McMaster photo ID card

Retirees who do not have a Photo ID are encouraged to replace blue ID cards with a photo ID card that facilitates the following services:
    • access control (controlled access to various buildings/labs/stairwells)
    • entry into controlled-access staff lounges on campus*
    • meal plan (activated in Commons Building 128)
    • Library borrowing
    • use of athletic facilities such as the Pulse (Gym)
Photo ID cards are currently only issued via appointment at T32 – Parking office, Room 106. Hours are Monday to Friday 1 pm - 4 pm. Please bring the following documents with you:
    • your old card
    • your employee number
    • government issued photo ID (e.g. health card, driver's license)
*If your existing retiree photo ID card does not work for accessing staff lounges, send an email request to including the name on your card and the number printed on the back of your card.
